Mario Strikes Back - 1990

It is my pleasure to present my oldest work of fiction that is still in existence. This may even be my oldest work of fiction ever written. As a special feature I'm including the original handwritten text of the story.

What I find most interesting about this story is that it shows that I had a love for video games at a very young age. Readers may be interested to know that this story predates my ownership of a video game console, but like all children of the 80s I knew who Mario was, and at least enough about the video game to write a story, albeit a short one. This story also shows an early insensitivity to death.

Being that most of my works of fiction from my Elementary School days have been lost or destroyed, I am quite pleased that this work survived for my readers to enjoy.
